Two students at Georgetown University, Jordan Green and Reilly Davis, started the Buyback Bros in the fall of 2009. While completing their degrees, they found it increasingly difficult to get a fair price for their used books. The campus bookstore had a reputation for lowballing students and there wasn’t any competition near campus. Realizing the need for a fair and convenient alternative, Jordan and Reilly decided to take matters into their own hands.
Since its inception, the Buyback Bros has grown rapidly. What started as a single school operation has expanded to over 20 universities across the country using the same model that has been so effective at Georgetown. The Buyback Bros family is operated by student owned franchises that are handed down to the next class at each university. The focus remains the same, if we can make your textbook-selling experience a little more convenient and get you more cash for your books, then that’s what we aim to do.
